thursday,  march 28, horseshoe canyon ranch and day one of the doom and despair race:
riders meeting, packet pick up, setting up camp, getting to know the riders.

friday, march 29:
race start,  me hanging out the passenger side window of david's subaru shooting away as the riders chase us down the winding highway to the buffalo river valley, first dose of singletrack at the Ponca mounatin bike trails,  water stop before heading into the buffalo headwaters,( or as we dubbed it, the "bermuda triangle of the ozarks" ) speedy downhill descent into oark, arkansas for much needed rest  and refueling (including us) while others either pushed on or decided to call it quits altogether.
saturday, march 30
early morning in oark, big country breakfast for a few sleepy riders before they got back on the road, last minute "good lucks" and smiles and "so wonderful to meet you! 's "  before we packed up our camera bags and made for the interstate to take us back to fayetteville where hot showers, clean clothes and our comfy bed awaited us. it was an epic adventure.
